CRESA Tensioners are elastic elements that work by way of rotation. They are torsion springs that are used for many applications. The most common uses for these products are:
- Pressure Elements
- Chain or belt tighteners
- Belt scraper supports
- Decelerators
The natural rubber in these tensioners have a very high absorption capacity. When it’s stressed it absorbs the kinetic energy by means of the friction, which is formed between the moving rubber molecules and transformed into heat which is then dispersed.
CRESA elements are used in chain or belt transmissions to keep the flexible elements taut, and also to absorb vibration caused by kinematic mechanisms. This works to increase the working life of the machine.
